Rotogravure printing and flexo printing
With more than six decades of presence in the flexible packaging market, Tipoplastika has positioned itself as a leader in high-quality printing, continuously investing in the most advanced equipment and expert personnel. Thanks to a combination of extensive experience, technical precision, and modern technological solutions, Tipoplastika today offers printing that fully meets the highest industry standards, both in terms of visual identity and packaging functionality.
Gravure printing (rotogravure, copperplate printing) – flawlessly precise printing for the most demanding applications
The gravure printing process at Tipoplastika is performed on the BOBST RS 6003C HS, one of the most advanced gravure presses on the market, designed for maximum productivity, speed, and stability in printing flexible materials. This machine enables:
- Printing up to 9 colors, including 7+2 and 8+1 configurations for double-sided printing
- Maximum operating speed up to 400 m/min
- Web width up to 1020 mm
- TAPS – a fully automatic register control and adjustment system, ensuring color position accuracy regardless of design complexity
- 100% visual inspection of printing through an integrated camera system, enabling instant detection and correction of errors in real time
- Printing of matte and heat seal lacquers in register
Thanks to the sophisticated MPI color application system, as well as highly efficient twin-flow dryers and advanced material moisture management systems, excellent color consistency is achieved, even on demanding materials such as PE, OPP, or AL laminates.
In addition to the main press, Tipoplastika also has a smaller rotary gravure press specialized for cold-seal application, enabling the production of packaging with features such as easy open and resealable closures—ideal for confectionery, snack, and children’s products.
Flexographic printing (flexo printing) – speed, flexibility, and high-level reproduction
Flexographic printing at Tipoplastika is performed on the modern BOBST 20SIX S flexo press, which revolutionizes speed, automation, and print control. This press offers:
- Printing up to 8 colors
- Maximum web width up to 1100 mm
- Printing on various flexible mono and multilayer materials, including paper, polymer, and laminated substrates
- Smart GPS – a digital system for fast and precise print setup before start-up, with automatic calibration and minimal material tension
- Integrated camera system with 100% inspection
- Support for printing with photopolymer plates and endless sleeves, providing extreme design flexibility and production volumes
- Printing of lacquers in register – enabling additional aesthetic and functional effects on packaging
The BOBST 20SIX also features ventilation systems with frequency regulators, ensuring low emission of vapors and meeting the strictest requirements for environmental and workplace safety.
Synergy of technology and expertise
By combining advanced printing technologies with top-level staff education, Tipoplastika is able to meet all client requirements from the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical, and all other industries, in both large and small print runs. Through the implementation of World Class Manufacturing principles and its own improvement system “TipoZen“, every production cycle undergoes the strictest internal quality control.
Printing at Tipoplastika does not represent only the visual presentation of a brand, but guarantees the barrier properties of packaging, protection of contents, extended shelf life, and ease of use, all in accordance with the highest European standards.

Long-Term SolutionHow to Choose the Right Packaging Material for Your Product?
Selecting the appropriate packaging material is a key step in preserving product quality, complying with regulations, presenting your brand, and achieving overall market success.
Whether it’s food, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics—packaging not only protects but actively communicates your brand value.
Product Type
Each product has specific requirements:
- Coffee, powder products: require barriers against moisture, oxygen, and light → ideally: PET / AL / PE
- Snacks & confectionery: fats, aromas, light → OPP / metallized OPP / PE
- Frozen products: resistance to low temperatures and humidity → PE / PE or OPA / PE
- Pharmaceuticals & medical: sterilizability, microbiological protection → PET / PE, paper / PE
- Cosmetics & chemicals: chemical stability, aroma, leak resistance → PET / AL / PE
Shelf Life & Barrier Properties
If a longer shelf life is required, you need combinations of materials that protect against:
- Moisture (water vapor)
- Oxygen
- Light
- Fats and oils
- External odors
Materials with AL-foil layer and metallized films (OPP met / PET met) provide excellent barrier efficiency.
Barrier propertiesPacking Technology
Depending on the technology used:
- Vacuum packaging
- Form-fill-seal
- Doypack
- Stick packaging
- Cold seal system
The material must match the processing and sealing method. Tipoplastika also provides register-printed lacquers and cold seal for easy-open products.
Technical aspectsTransport & Storage
If the product is stored in humid, cold, or warm conditions, or exported to different climate zones, the packaging must offer:
- Mechanical resistance
- Stability in extreme conditions
- Low permeability
Materials like OPA / PE and PET / AL / PE provide excellent stability.
LogisticsRecycling & Sustainability
The market increasingly demands packaging that:
- Is recyclable
- Has a reduced ecological footprint
Tipoplastika offers mono-material (e.g., PE/PE) and thinner-gauge solutions without compromising barrier protection.
EcologyVisual Presentation & Branding
Packaging is the first touchpoint between product and consumer. Print quality, metallic effects, transparency, and matte finishes—all shape brand perception.
Thanks to BOBST technology and 9-color gravure printing, Tipoplastika delivers a range of visual effects without sacrificing functionality.
DesignRegulations & Certificates
Especially for food and pharmaceutical sectors, materials must be:
- Safe for food contact
- Compliant with FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001
- Declared, tracked, and proven reliable
