Environmental Sustainability
Sustainable Packaging
Certified systems, efficient resource use, and continuous process improvement — because sustainability is not an option, it’s a responsibility.
Packaging for the Future – Responsible, Innovative, Sustainable
The flexible packaging industry is facing challenges that go far beyond the basic function of packaging. Climate change, the rise of environmental awareness, and evolving market demands mean that manufacturers are no longer just protectors of products, they are also guardians of the planet. As a regional leader, Tipoplastika has made this responsibility a central pillar of its strategy and business development.
Our Sustainability Vision
Since its founding in 1959, Tipoplastika has been tracking and leading both technological and environmental advancements in the packaging industry. We believe that the true value of packaging is achieved only when its environmental impact is minimized, and its benefit to the customer is maximized. That’s why sustainability is woven into every part of our production process, from raw material sourcing, through manufacturing, to the finished product and the end consumer.
Sustainability Through Innovation – Technology Serving the Environment
Our commitment to innovation is reflected not only in our choice of state-of-the-art machines (such as BOBST RS 6003C HS, 20SIX S, and RX 400F) but also in the way we use them.
We have invested in equipment and processes that enable:
- Production of thinner films with equal or better barrier properties, reducing material and energy consumption per unit of packaging.
- Optimized energy consumption – using energy-efficient motors, LED lighting, and smart energy management systems.
- Recycling and reintegration of production waste directly into the manufacturing cycle without compromising the quality of the final product.
- Mono-material and easily recyclable packaging designed to meet the needs of today’s market and the principles of the circular economy.
Efficient Use of Resources
At Tipoplastika, every gram of raw material and every kilowatt of energy is treated as a valuable resource. Our policy includes:
- Precise planning and inventory management to avoid surpluses and waste.
- Automated process control to minimize technical losses and downtime.
- Filtration and reuse systems for water in technical processes.
- Sourcing materials with verified origin and standardized procurement processes.
Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
We measure our environmental footprint at all levels:
- CO₂ emissions – continuously monitoring and optimizing production processes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Waste and recycling – more than 90% of production waste is recycled.
- Recyclable packaging – developing and offering structures that can be easily sorted and recycled, in line with the latest European and global standards.
- Use of environmentally friendly inks and coatings – free from heavy metals and substances harmful to the environment.
Preventing Negative Environmental Impact
Environmental responsibility is part of our daily practice:
- We are committed to preventing soil, air, and water pollution through strict control of emissions and wastewater.
- We have implemented closed-loop systems for chemicals and solvents, reducing the risk of harmful effects on the ecosystem.
- All production lines are under continuous monitoring, using sensors and automation, to detect and prevent unwanted emissions in real time.
Certifications and Standards – Verified Responsibility
Our quality management and environmental protection system is certified through internationally recognized standards:
- ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management
- ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management
- FSSC 22000 – Food Packaging Safety Management
These standards are more than formal compliance — they are applied and improved daily through internal training, audits, and transparent reporting.
Education and Social Responsibility
We know that sustainability begins with people.
- We regularly train employees on eco-friendly practices, advanced materials, and responsible workplace behavior.
- We collaborate with the local community and partners to promote environmental values (schools, associations, nature clean-up initiatives).
- We actively communicate environmental goals with clients and work together to implement sustainable solutions.
Future-Driven Development – The TipoZen Methodology
In 2024, we implemented our internal production process improvement system – TipoZen.
Inspired by global WCM (World Class Manufacturing) standards, TipoZen focuses on:
- Continuous reduction of waste and excess
- Faster adaptation to changes in regulations and client requirements
- Increasing efficiency without compromising environmental protection
Partnerships and Innovation Across the Value Chain
Environmental sustainability doesn’t end within our facilities.
- We help partners and clients improve their environmental footprint through innovation.
- We develop packaging designed for multiple-use cycles and solutions that incorporate renewable resources.
- We participate in national and international projects to advance sustainability in the packaging sector.
Responsibility to Future Generations
For Tipoplastika, sustainability is more than a strategy, it is daily practice, innovation, and commitment.
Our ambition is to be synonymous with flexible packaging that protects not only the product but also the planet. Together with our partners, clients, and community, we are building a business model that leaves a legacy, not waste, for generations to come.
Tipoplastika – Packaging for the Best, Sustainable for the World Ahead.
